Our dedicated team combines passion and expertise for the well-being of your animals.
Dr Pascal VANHAELEN
After obtaining his veterinary degree from the ULG (specialising in surgery, orthopaedics and endoscopy) in 1984, That same year, Dr Vanhaelen founded Canis Felis. After a few years, the practice grew into a full-fledged multidisciplinary veterinary practice, and his team expanded. Still as curious and patient as when he started, he is still very much involved in caring for the animals at the practice.
Dr Laure DE LEENER
Graduate of the Faculty of Liège in 1998, She immediately joined Canis Felis.
Professional and highly committed, she provides general medical consultations, elective surgery and ultrasound scans. She also treats animals suffering from behavioural problems. Her motto: «Treat your pets the way you love them!»
Dr Samuel PELGRIMS
It was through his final year placement that Dr Pelgrims discovered Canis Felis. He then joined our team of resident vets after graduating from ULG in 2018. He provides general medical and dermatological consultations, as well as X-rays and anaesthetics. Calm and reassuring, he has great composure when it comes to dealing with emergencies or difficult cases.
Dr Younes CHAOUCHE
After completing his veterinary studies in Algeria, Dr Chaouche came to the University of Liège to do a master's degree in veterinary medicine. He did his internship with us for his final year in 2021 before becoming one of our regular vets. Patient, professional and smiling, he quickly integrated into our team.

Clémence DE GRAER
Ever since she was a child, Clémence has been helping animals in distress, taking in abandoned cats for example. After training in veterinary care, she joined our team in 2020. She continues to care for animals on a daily basis by working at Canis Felis.
Tiziana ATZORI
After working in a completely different field, this animal lover decided to train as a veterinary assistant. She then successfully completed a traineeship at Canis Felis. In 2017, she officially joined the team to continue contributing to animal welfare.
